Terms of Use

1) Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChatvLink ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are entering into these terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using ChatvLink, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts. If we discover a user is under 18, we will terminate the account.

3) Your Account

• You are responsible for the information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• You agree not to use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity.
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or rate limits.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person.

4) User Content & Chat Behavior

• You are responsible for content you share in chats and for how you interact with others.
• Do not share sensitive personal data (passwords, financial info, SIN, home address) with strangers.
• Harassment, hate speech, threats, stalking, exploitation, and illegal activity are strictly prohibited.
• Sexually explicit content is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: nudity, sexual acts, sexually suggestive text, images, video, audio, screen sharing, and links to pornographic material. Any violation results in immediate permanent ban without warning. Content involving minors will be reported to law enforcement (e.g., Cybertip.ca, NCMEC, local police).
• Do not share or solicit intimate personal photos or videos of yourself or others.
• Do not use the Service for sexual solicitation, grooming, or any form of sexual exploitation.
• Do not impersonate others or create fake profiles.
• Do not use the Service to spam, phish, or distribute malware.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service or its APIs.

5) Anonymous & Random Chat Users

ChatvLink offers anonymous random chat and "Talk to Strangers" features. For these features:

• You will not be shown personal data (email, profile info, chat history) of other anonymous users.
• We do not persist messages from random chat sessions.
• You must still comply with all rules in Section 4, even when anonymous.
• We reserve the right to ban anonymous users by IP or device fingerprint for violations.

6) Content Moderation

We use automated systems and human moderators to review content. Messages may be flagged, blocked, or reviewed. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

7) Roleplay / AI Features

Roleplay or AI responses may be inaccurate, fictional, or inappropriate. Do not rely on AI for medical, legal, or financial decisions. AI-generated content does not represent the views of ChatvLink. You must not use AI features to generate content that violates Section 4.

8) Donations & Payments

Donations are processed by Stripe. All payments are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law. Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy apply to payment processing. We do not store your payment card details.

9) Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and content created by ChatvLink, is owned by ChatvLink and protected by Canadian copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission. User-generated chat content belongs to the user, but you grant ChatvLink a license to display, store, and moderate it as needed to operate the Service.

10) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you violated these terms, for security reasons, or for operational needs. You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

11) Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service. ChatvLink is not responsible for user-generated content or interactions between users.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act), ChatvLink and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, or (b) CAD $100.

13) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChatvLink from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or violation of any law or third-party right.

14) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts. If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

15) Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. The "Last Updated" date below will always reflect the most recent revision.
